For my xc60 I found the right front wheel speed was showing a fault so I swapped front left and right wheel speed sensors. Now both front speed sensors are reporting incorrect speeds. I ordered 2 new speed sensors but I suspect that isn't the issue but they aren't measuring anywhere near the same resistance so replacing them is an easy check. The rotors do need to be removed to remove the sensors if they are stuck as mine were. I didn't notice any responses in the thread here about the wheel speed sensors. I have a fairly low cost obd scanner that shows readings for the abs system. Where do the wires from the speed sensors go? To the abs module I assume? Where is the abs module located? Thanks!
I am also facing the same problem. I am seeing this error only in cold and ice weather conditions. Sometime I am seeing this error during the early morning or in the nights if I start the car drive.
All symptoms are same. I have been facing the issue for almost more than a year. I took the car to Volvo and they checekd few things and they told we need to bring the car during that problem occurs,
Initially, I was afraid about those errors. I think reverse parking sensors do not work during this time.
Im having the same issue. I just bought the suv Saturday and Tuesday it started doing this. When I unhook the battery rebook it it resolves it for a minute but does it again.
For now the codes that I've got are the C003A to C0037 range, for speed sensor failure to tone wheel failure, my mechanic says there is some rusting that might be the culprit. Other possibly related codes (all which cleared on their own) Closing velocity module : U 0415-68 invalid data from brake control module, U3000-66 Control module algo based failures, signal has too many transitions/events.
Differential Electronic Module : U0415-68 Invalida data from ABSThere are also some other odd codes that came but went away on their own. P1635-68 Tire/Axle out of acceptable range algo based failure
Its a mess really, trying my luck at this place that was recommended to me recently.[/QUOTE]
Hi mnvolvo-
No, I never got any answers. My 2015 XC60 R-Design only had 50K miles on it. The dealership where we bought it (Walnut Creek, CA) and always had it serviced, had no idea. They said it could range from $4K to $10K to pull the car apart and try to figure it out, and even then, no guarantees that it would be fixed. This past weekend we opted to sell the car )-:
We did "open a case" with Volvo Corporate customer service. That was a joke, and no help whatsoever. We won't be buying Volvo again.
I have a 2015 xc60 that I just purchased a week ago and 2 days after owning it I have this same exact problem occur 4 times now. Just wondering if anyone solved the issue?
I had the same problem with my XC60 w015 D4 2.4d.
This monday in the middle of driving first I got an error massage for Brake system fault... after 30sec I got all the errors you can emagine... all the lights...and stopted the car. Turn it off and couldnt turn it on. After several minutes I turned it on with all the errors again and couldnt shut it off. I took the keys out.... could turn it off... all I can say ONE BIG ELECTRIC MASS.
I took the car to may electric car specialist and next day he called me back thet he found the problem and the car is running, but he need to change the cabels from motor computer...
The problem are the cabels near oil filter... they are full of oil and broken cabels...
So he called for new cabels and get an offer for new ones for 550€, asked me if this is ok for me or he offered me that he can change cable by cable. I sad order complete new ones.
than he made an order in Volvo servise and they sead oh sorry there is a new catalog number and the price is 1.100€.
So the end of the story... my car is running but I am not driving it because I am waiting for new cabels at the moment. I dont want to stay in the middle of the road...
Maybe I helped you guys with the same problem...
Please let me know if I helped someone.

Did changing the cables by the oil filter work cause im having the issue as well have put in 1500 at the shop saying they have fixed the problem just to have it happen again a day or so later.
Hey! I have a 2015 XC60 T6 with a little under 70k miles on it. Every now and then I will get the following errors while driving. Sometimes they well happen multiple times, sometimes not at all:
Brake System Failure - Stop Safely (this one happens the most often and when it does every warning light on the dash lights up (ABS, Check Engine, Tire Pressure, Seatbelt reminder, Gas, SRS, Brake, ESC, General warning, etc) and the mileage, mph, miles to empty, gph, and temperature also read '---' instead of the actual numbers and the radio, blinkers, and windshield wipers stop working for a period of time
SRS Airbag Service Urgent
Alarm has been triggered
Volvo On Call Deactivated
I just took it in for service and they couldn't get the computer to recognize or read any of these errors. Lately the liftgate has also stopped working intermittently and requires manual opening and shutting (ie. the button doesn't auto close it) as well as making a repeating electronic skipping sound which sounds like it trying to close. Last night this happened for a few hours before stopping. Taking the fuses out did not stop the noise.
Any advice or where to look is appreciated.
where you able to figure out the problem? I have the same issue? Have took to the shop and am in 1500 with the shop saying its fixed to happen a day r so later.

Yes.
My problem fixed. Car is running with no problem. There was a problem with the cabels by the oilfilter. My electric mechanic changed all the cabels from pcu to the motor.

do you have volvo part number for the cables so I can give it to the shop. It should on the invoice.
My 2014 XC60 has had this problem for some time now, my normal repair shop gave me a list of 60 codes they pulled, but could not figure out the problem without throwing parts at it. I took it to my local Volvo dealer and they had the same issue and could not determine the cause after having it for two days with multiple test drives. It is rather intermittent, it could occur 3-8 times in a short drive and then not occur for a whole week. It happened in March and then didn't happen again until this fall so it's definitely more sensitive in the colder temps of New England. My lift gate malfunctions randomly, not as often as the all the dash lights come on for about 30 seconds at a time and go away like it never happened. On certain occurrences, the media screen will go turn off as well. I had a new alternator put in the past two years and new battery (previous one corroded and was leaking). It passed the voltage and connection test while at the dealership. I think it is related to the heated steering wheel being on and triggers the sensors. Any input or leads would be greatly appreciated!
