Default 2015 XC60 Paint Issues

Hi

I'm hoping someone can help. I've recently purchased an XC60 in onyx black. I've had the car approximately 3 months. In all the time I've had it there have been a number of marks appear and the paint on the drives side especially has an egg shell effect on it or it looks like there are ridges and crevices in it. Is this normal ?

Also every time I go out in it (which is every day) white marks appear, which I don't think are stone chips as I don't hear anything hitting it and when I wash it white lines appear. My washing process is very careful in that I use a pressure washer and a mitt rather than a sponge. I use autoglym products and I always put a wax coat on the car when I've finished washing it.

Is anyone else having similar problems and if so what can I do to rectify them ?

My fear is that when the car goes back in 4 years there won't be any paint left on it !!!

do you have picks? I also have a black xc60 and it seems to shed the wax easy gotta keep it clean and wax it constantly. I use soap with a lot of suds and a two bucket method to keep dirt out of the wash mit. you can look up tons of videos that will help on youtube. might need a good buffing. I use Car Care Specialties - Quality Car Care Products they have tons of articles on how to care for the cars paint and interior.

I use a 20 litre bucket, wash mit. Autoglym shampoo and dirt devil wet wax every time I wash it. My car is currently back at Volvo as I'm now discovering that the clear coat is coming off too...I'm beginning to think I've bought a Friday afternoon car.

I'm also having it diamond brited. Allegedly this helps with the reduction of swirling.

Default XC 69 paint issues

Ian, what happened in the end and how did Volvo deal with it? I have the same problem on an XC60 4 months old which has just 2k miles and is cleaned regularly and carefully by a friend (also with Autoglym products). We just noticed the specks of what looks like lacquer blistering almost all over the car. Hundreds of them. Thanks if you get this and can reply.

I have the same problem in a S60 2017 with Onyx Black too. I think is a problem with this paint in particular and looks like they didn't fix it yet. I sent a claim to Volvo and I'm waiting for the answer
