Hi,

I just installed the factory tow bar (31359465) and 4/7 pin trailer hitch cable harness (31346065). The installation has gone very smoothly to this point, but I am now completely stuck with the trailer control module (TCM, 31407107). For the life of me, I cannot find the open TCM connectors that are supposed to be waiting for me near the rear driver side fuse panel as illustrated in the installation instructions. I also pulled up the raceway on the driver side of the spare to be sure there were no connectors inside there.

Am I missing something? Am I going to need to splice the TCM into the XC60 wiring harness & if so does anyone have instructions?

Never mind, I found it - it was bend downward and taped to the harness with the connectors in a foam rubber.

 

jklesney - I see you got this installed. How did you go with or without the VIDA software installed? I installed the module and wiring harness on my V60CC and have functioning trailer brake lights, but not turning signals. I'm wondering if this is because I did not get the software updated.

 

LooseMoose, I've just fitted a Towtrust towbar and dedicated 13 pin electrics, using the connections behind the left hand cover (jklesney's comment) Brake, tail & indicator light work ok without any changes to software.

 

as a general resource, when I did the trailer hitch on my wife's Highlander I wound up using e-trailer.com as they have a lot of vehicle specific content....
