Default 2018 XC60 T5 Momentum 10K service

Hello all, This is my first post here. I just got my XC60 back yesterday from its first service call. Everything looked good except I had complained about a brake pedal vibration (pulsating) Come to find out they inspected and replaced both front rotors. This is at 10K miles. Of course it's fine right now, but this is very concerning for a new car. I hope this isn't a pre-cursor of things to come. I really like this car. Anyone heard of this being a problem?

I have recently had the second service completed (a lot of miles in the first year of ownership) and haven’t had any issues with the brakes. In fact they are as smooth as when the car was purchased.
i recall the mechanic at the dealership telling me before I purchased the vehicle that the newer 60’s had way less brake issues than the older ones. At the time I was probably complaining about the cost of brake repairs on the previously owned 2007 S60 (which we owned for eleven years) and other than the cost of brakes was a great car.

brake rotors can warp on any car - there's nothing that would make your Volvo less reliable. Usual causes are over torquing wheel lugs, overheating due to hard use such as riding the brakes down a mountain road or leaving the pedal on hard after a panic stop, and rapid hot/cold transition (say hitting a puddle when the brakes are hot). Sometimes people incorrectly try to bed the brake pads when new by doing a set of hard stops and wind up causing their own problem.

Interesting points. I certainly didn’t know about over torquing wheel lugs. Will certainly keep it in mind when installing winter tires/rims.

Thanks for all your responses. All points are valid, but this car has been treated like a baby since we bought, I have been driving for 50 + years and have never had an issue with a new car like this. Aside, I'm hoping this is just a one off issue. Thanks everyone. Thank god for new car warranty!
