I am considering buying a XC 60 but limited research suggests several issues. Have these issues with the google assistant been resolved? Is it a reliable vehicle? What model years are better?

Volvo is frequently coming out with software updates so given the car is 3 years old, I'd suspect they've resolved the Google Assistant issue. You can always check in with the dealer or search for any postings on service bulletins. As to the reliability, Volvos now have a middle reliability rating. You can check for info from Consumer reports to see the key problem areas. With that said, a 2022 is a fairly new car and would qualify for an extended warranty - or buy a CPO car.

I have a '22 B6 and it's been solid. I've had to reset the TCAM (research..lots of information on it but it only requires a long button push on the center display) in the past if some features act up. After several OTA software updates....this has calmed down. Google assistant works great but does not control every car feature. I still love my car.
