Default All dash warning lights come on when driving

I have a 2012 XC60 and have had an issue with my dash "lighting up" with all the warning lights coming on, turn signal going off, radio display goes out. It doesn't seem to affect the car running. Both times, I pulled over, turned the car off and back on and it went away. Once it happened on the highway and once sitting at a stoplight intown. I've seen some posts for older/different models being related to the alternator, ignition switch or faulty wiring (short) behind the dash. I'm taking to the shop in a few days, but would love any thoughts that might make me a little more knowledgeable when speaking to the mechanic. Thoughts or suggestions?

were you able fix your pronlem? I have same problem. But if I disconnect battery my problem goes away for some time.

I know this is an old thread but has anyone figured out this problem? Could this be in relation to possible clogged roof rails and water getting into the foot wells and possibly behind the dash?

Have you scanned all the control units (not just with a cheap obd only scanner)? That would be a good first step.
