Newbie here and did search before posting. I just got into a newer company car which is a 2022 XC60 B5. I cannot get Android Auto to open and display on the acreen. I performed a reset by holding down the home button for approximately 30 seconds and also held down the frost defrost button for the same period of time. I am thinking that the car needs a software update (not OTA) but that could be a real challenge for me since i dont own the car and dealership work will not be approved by my company. See screen shots. One is the error message i am getting on the home page and next is the extreme lack of options available on this car. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking that Android Auto is not and will not be supported by Volvo.
Current model does not have Android Auto as it is already Android based Infotainment system, but we can live and dream and it may come. Recent software update provided Apple Car play though. Lack of features compared to previous model if that's what you mean is noted by many. Volvo don't like to divulge this before selling the car to you though.
JDG is correct. The new Volvo's have AAOS (Android Auto Operating System) built in. You will need to setup your Google Account in your car and then it will have most of the AA functionality. Still limited on some of the Apps, yet that is getting a little better over time.
I would "push" your company to get the software updates at the Dealer as some of them are safety & drive optimization related, plus they are free.
