Center Console functions not working after battery change
During the last major winter storm in the Southern US, our battery died in our 2015 XC60. We got it replaced at Autozone, but after that most of the functions on the center console stopped working.
It looks like it has a basic operating system, and the heat and AC controls work, and the temperature adjustment shows up on the screen. It also notifies us that the backup camera is disabled once we reach a certain speed. But the backup camera display, the clock, the parking assist proximity sensors, the bluetooth, audio, radio, settings, etc. don't work anymore. I've tried holding the radio power button for up to 30 seconds, to see if that might do a hard reboot, but had no luck.
We took it to the dealership for service, and they said the RDAR module is bad, and it will cost $1600 to replace. I haven't been able to find anything about that module other than the sattelite radio functions.
I feel like the real problem is something else, but I don't know where to start looking.
Does someone know where I should start?

If you think that's causing the problem (or want to believe your service provider) you can simply take that module out of the system. Purchase and install a compatible "most bypass loop"
to bypass that module to test their diagnosis.
A recent thread showing the location of RDAR can be found at
