Angry color of path on map

Major roads are colored green on the navigation map. But the path chosen by the GPS is also green and it is often difficult to see the correct path to take. Does anyone know if there is some way to change either the road or path color in the navigation system? I have been thru all the controls and the user guide and have not figured out a way to do this.

Hi,
Is this the dealer installed Navigation System?

If it is, can I ask how much you would have paid the dealership to have it installed? I use the free download - Maps as a Nav system and if I want more detailed than that provided by Maps I use my phone and Apple car play.
i did consider having the dealer installed version, however, I felt the price was rather high given the free alternatives that work just fine.

The Volvo Nav system came with the car, which i purchased a year old from the dealer. For the first two months of ownership, i kept my Garmin in the car as the Nav system was so hard to use. Once i figured it out i took out the Garmin and just went with the built-in system.

The Garmin is better, but the Volvo system does work, and it is built in so it can't fall off the windshield in hot weather

Interesting.
You were fortunate to have not paid extra for it. I spent the winter in FL and inquired at a Volvo dealership about the cost of the dealer installed system and it is $1,400. I thought it was a bit pricey considering the cost of a Garmin and the fact that a phone has the technology built in, albeit part of the cost of the phone.
I expect you have probably already tried changing settings that “might” change colours. Have you noticed any difference at night/when headlights are on. The Maps Nav system is much easier to follow at night, although I haven’t noticed the problem you have.
