Extended Service Warranty and Prepaid Maintenance Plan on 2019 XC60
Hi - I just purchased a used 2019 XC60. It was previously a rental car and drives great, has 18k miles. We did purchase the extended service plan (Platinum coverage plan which covers 7 years / 100k miles) and the prepaid maintenance plan. The cost for the platinum coverage with tax is $5,207 and the prepaid maintenance plan is $3,534. We also still have roughly 3 years covered as far as the original warranty (basic and drivetrain). We don't drive that much right now (could change in a couple years) so I'm reconsidering the need for the extended service plan and the prepaid maintenance plan. According to the contract it's fully refundable within 30 days. What do you think? These plans sound high to me but is it worth it? Also, does the original warranty cover the engine? Thank you!
are u in the USA? if so steingolds out of Rhode island sells a genuine volvo warranty that is less than what most dealers offer https://www.steingold.com/-vip--extended-warranty.htm they are highly talked abou ton swedespeed.....and I bought the 10 yr/100000 mile from them They usually have a promo code for $100 off..usually it is SWEDESPEED. My dealer wanted $4100...I think I paid $2400...they offer maintence plans as well. But yes, one prob is better off putting that $$$ away in a savings account...but peace of mind is nice as well
I know this is a really old post. Checking to see if you decided to keep the warrant and service plan? I passed on the service plan but did buy the warranty. Now I’m wondering if I should get a refund. Just bought a 2019 XC60 yesterday.
