I guess it felt risky doing that but seemed like nothing to loose at that point. Good job explaining all of that, I'm sure several folk will benefit. I'm sure enjoying mine after time enough to discover everything and set it to my liking. Once there, these are pretty nice cars.

 

This is a generous perspective

I think they should be trained better. A model "just starting to come out" is no excuse - this is part of the model launch plan: to properly train the dealers.

 

I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I've talked to my dealer, and he is sharing it with their service department. Updates are coming out monthly to fix little things here and there, and it might just be a new thing that necessitates the factory reset. If enough people mention it, Volvo will release a notice to their service departments about what to watch out for.
