I'm a car guy. I can replace tires, flush a radiator, change the oil, change brake pads, but I cannot figure out how these frickin' wipers are attached. I've checked the manual and multiple YouTube videos and none of them are any help. I pressed the square button to lift off the wiper, but it won't budge. The manual says to tilt the blade back until it clicks which is complete nonsense. My BMW's I can replace in two minutes. Why is it so hard with Volvo?
Volvo dealer here in Austin is overloaded and usually never get a response to anything. Anyone else been down this road?
I bet if you swing by Autozone or even your dealer, they would run out and show you how to do it. Dunno what's new/different on the 2018s so I can't say exactly what to do...
Just need to press the square button and slide it. Try using something like a pencil eraser that won’t scratch and press a little deeper. Often they get stuck, so a little side-to-side jiggle while pressing will work it loose.
No need to get into service mode.
You don't bend the wiper blade. Just push the little square and pull the wiper blade in the direction it is is pointing to which is to the right. it's same direction for both driver and passenger side.To install, just insert it back until you hear a click.
I am inspecting the wipers in preparation for winters. just took some pictures for your reference.
