Default Install Puddle Lights??? xc60

I have 2011 XC60 and was hoping someone could assist me in the best way to install aftermarket puddle / logo lights that go in the bottom of the door panels.
1st thing is how to get the panel off?
2nd thing is what wire would i tap into for power?
Hopefully that wire would be in the door and I don't need to thread the wiring through the wiring boot into the car.
Thanks

Default Puddle Lights

I don't know how to do this but wondered about it myself. Frankly, I'm amazed Volvo (as safe as they are) failed to include them in the original design of the vehicle.

They're under the mirrors in cars equipped with them.

I think the OP was talking about are lights on the door panel that light up anytime you open the door. They shine down onto the space you're about to step. My XC60 has lights on the bottom of the mirrors but (1) they don't light unless I trigger them from the fob and (2) do nothing when I open the door except move out of the way and light something now 2 to 3 feet away from where I'm about to step. There should be lights on the actual inside door panel. Even my brothers 99 Camry has them!

I don't see what the big deal is. I've never tripped and fallen getting into my car.

I've never fallen out of a car either but I have stepped into mud or a puddle I couldn't see in the dark.
