I have a 2015.5 XC60. I have checked the oil level in the past with no issues. However, now it's giving me a "Not Available" message. See picture. Note one time it just said "Low", still with no bars on the digital dipstick. I added a quart, but that didn't help. It's been 8000 miles since last oil change. I recall checking the level after about 5000 miles and it showed it still full.
Hmm. I let it sit a few hours, and now it is reading that it's topped off. It's white across the bar, except for the rightmost section that has the red around it.
I have a volvo S80 2015 D4 having similar problem saying that engine oil level not available. Whats the procedure did you do to overcome this problem??
If the right conditions for measuring the oil level are not met (time after engine shutdown, the car's inclination, outside temperature, etc.) then the message Not available will be shown. This does not mean that there is something wrong in the car's systems.
