New 2021 - I hear a lot of power going on when I activate the "zones" but nothing coming out of the vents! ONLY when I hit the RECIRC button does anything blow...that's fine for the AC, but NOT the heat! Help?

 

Sounds like something under warranty - good thing it's still new.

 

I hope they can fix it..I have less than 1800 miles on this car. Lemon law is for under 10,000 I believe after attempts to repair. I've had 2 other lemons (one was a Jeep Grand Cherokee the other a Hyundai) and had to force the dealership to re-purchase at a loss to me, of course. Dreading the diagnosis...

 

No reason to - the repair will be free and if you're lucky there will be free replacement transportation.

 

They're fitting me in Friday...but no loaners available that day...

 

Update: They ran the car through "recalibration" ... The computer said everything looked good and "recalibrated." Then the tech tried the HVAC system. The AC worked fine. The AC with recirc worked fine. NO HEAT. NOTHING coming out of the body cabin vents when heat was requested. They're keeping it to work on and to consult with Volvo techs. I did get a loaner.

 

What was the result of your repair? We have the same problem.

 

They found a part that connects to the ventilation system which had been broken. They ordered the part and installed it. This took a couple of days. It is now working beautifully (crossing all fingers and toes). They had to look this problem up in one of the physical manuals they told me as the computerized diagnostics didn't help. They also told me that they had never seen this problem before!

 

I appreciate the quick response! I'll share this with our Volvo repair guys. It certainly sounds like the same problem.

 

Good! They said the location of the part was in a difficult place to get to...but they succeeded for my XC60 :-)
