My wife bought a 2020 xc60. All is well after only 1150 miles. Our first car with GDI. Have been reading about Honda CRV issues with oil dilution possibly contributed by GDI (mainly an over cooling process Honda instituted to prevent excess turbo heat in the engine compartment). Has anyone who owns a later model Volvo with GDI experienced any oil dilution issue? Thank you.

 

I have a 2018 XC60 that has been experiencing oil dilution for 6 years now - my dealer tells me every year this is normal while he is looking at my oil sample report with an alert status saying this is not normal and something has to be done to fix it. I change the oil every 10.000 klms but the dilution remains high. The continual response is change my driving habits and the oil dilution is normal. Very frustrating.
