I've decided to keep my lease because I'm in love with the car. I live in CO so I'm looking to get some better tires for the trail roads we have here. Nothing 4 wheeling or anything, just want piece of mind when going off pavement. Also, the look of these are pretty mean!
I've read the BF's are a new tire, more for road, just not as "capable" off pavement. Research also suggests Geolanders are better (than Wildpeak) for snow and ice - which we get a lot of out here in CO. I do have dedicated snow tires, Bridgestone Blizaks, but hoping to sell both OEM and snow tires and just roll with one of the options above all year round.
I would great appreciate any infos from tire specialists
*Bonus* And for those that like mods, I did a quick photoshop job on some I'm thinking about:
+ chrome delete (i know the new version have dark theme, it was just too expensive to upgrade the car)
+ blacked out wheels (will likely powder coat OEM wheels, might try hyperdip first)
+ white carbon fiber wrap on wing, mirrors, door handles, and possibly side skirts (tough to see in the photo)
+ *not shown in photo but will likely de-badge the emblems (funny I read someone else doing this and there was a reply "why aren't you proud of the car?". I think you can be proud without having logos all over the place, my 2¢)
+ and for fun, might toss some prancing horse emblems (photo shows black, but will probably paint white to match car - perhaps you noticed i like more of the subtle touches)
Hello! Just curious which tires you ended up switching to and how you're liking them. I have a 2024 B5 (also live in CO) and just got my 2nd flat tire while driving on gravel roads, so I am eager to get something else. We're considering the both the Falken & BFGoodrich tires that you mentioned. T
