Polestar Performance upgrade
Has anyone upgraded their B5 mild hybrid with Polestar Optimization? Is it worth the investment? My local dealers want between $1400 and $1800. Are there better deals in other US markets (I’m in NW Washington)?

In economy mode, I get a 20% improvement in mileage.
in sport mode, I get an additional 40BHP
In race mode, I get an added 70 BHP
All for about $500.00.

B5 Polestar upgrade
I got the Polestar upgrade in July on my 2022 B5 XC60. My local dealer had a special of $300.00 off their regular price of $1,345.00 which made it $1,045.00 plus tax. After the upgrade I called Customer Care and asked for a new owner Rebate Coupon and they emailed me the form. After I mailed the completed coupon and paid dealer receipt I received a $200.00 rebate check in the mail. Polestar was worth it for the $845.00 plus tax that I paid. I like the improved performance when merging onto the highway and it really makes highway driving/passing much smoother and quicker. I rarely use Polestar driving around my small town, because the engine noise at low speeds and in stop/go traffic is intrusive.

If I were you I would wait for Polestar to go on sale again, as the Polestar improvements are not as robust on the mild hybrids as they were on the previous T5 engine.. There are 2 dealers near me (Nashville area.) One quoted me $1,500.00 plus tax and the second dealer was significantly cheaper. One dealer is in a very affluent suburb of Nashville and the other dealer is in a less desirable neighborhood. The fancy dealership quoted me $45.00 for wiper refills and the other dealer charged me $25.00 and installed them for me.

When I bought my Volvo in 2019.....Volvo emailed me a 20% off discount that could be used for almost anything. Believe a Dealer in the new jersey area sells the Polestar upgrade for around $800 (sorry no help for you) I have heard some have emailed volvo for a discount code and they were sent one vcnacare@volvoforlife.com
