Lost a piece of jewelry after it was placed on the drawer/cover in the center console above the shifter:


(Not an actual picture of my center console, just one I found while searching to give a better idea of where the jewelry fell)

I'm assuming I need to remove the whole center console to get underneath and retrieve what fell.

I couldn't find anything when searching the forums for a 2019 XC60, is there a guide for removing the center console?

Unfortunately the ring hadn't fallen below, and I suspect it's actually trapped up underneath behind the drawer:





I'm going to try to reach up there next but not feeling too confident that I'll be able to access what I need....

 

Anyone? How do I get this top cover off?




I suspect the ring is in this very inconveniently deep bucket shaped plastic feature which can't be accessed easily except from above:

 

You'll have to remove the entire console to take it apart. Not sure if there are any posts about it yet.

 

I'm sorry for bothering you, because the case I'd like to ask is a bit different, but I swear, this is the only post where I found some pictures of center console dissembled.

I'd like to ask you, if you could please tell me if a dash cam powerbank would fit in this space? For example on this silver metal part from second picture? Or maybe deeper, on the right side?

The powerbank dimensions are 322mm x 89mm x 38mm, model from this link: https://www.power-core.co.uk/products/6200lfp-hw.html.

​​​​​​My Volvo has not yet arrived to my dealer, so unfortunately I can't check this myself and the powerbank will be shipped from UK to Poland, so I would like to avoid sending it back if it wouldn't fit.

I would really appreciate your help if that's possible.

 

I’m having the exact same issue. Did you end up retrieving the jewelry?

 

Unfortunately I gave up and took it to a mechanic to remove the console. They were able to find the ring and put it back together.
