So I got a communication message regarding not connecting to modem on my xc60 2017 I brought it in to my dealership to be told oh the service no longer runs on 3g and there's no fix for it maps are put dated on navigation my on-call don't work anymore etc how can this be fair it being 5 tears old and no repair or updated available any one else have this issue. They should either fix it or buy the cars back

 

Its not the Volvo's fault that ATT and Verizon etc have decommissioned their 3G networks. I assume you have a 4G phone that can run Google Maps etc. Personally I never saw the value of an in-car navigation system when you can bluetooth your phone into the car. Getting money back after 5 years is not going to happen.

 

They should have put 4G in the car when it was built. I was available. And now they are giving you 4G, and not 5G. Not sure how long that will be around. They are still working on 4G upgrade firmware issues. Had mine replaced for 750, with two years of so called free service I cannot use. So you can get the modem upgraded but it will cost you.
