Default Sunroof Wind Noise -Help

I am a newbie to this forum and from what I have seen, there is great activity. I purchased a new 2014 XC-60 eight weeks ago. I sold my BMW X5 to try Volvo for the first time. I love my XC60 with one huge exception... The WIND noise with the open sunroof is horrible at all speeds. I have tried opening and or closing the rear windows to no avail. The X5 had very little noise from the sunroof. I was hoping that someone might have had a similar experience. This is a Volvo design issue. My next option is to try an aftermarket wind deflector. Unfortunately from a cosmetic standpoint they are not pretty.

Default The only issue I have with our 2014XC60!

Agree with your assessment We have had Jeeps, Rovers and Mercedes SUV's and not a one had the noise we have also experienced with our new 2014 XC60! Tried all the possibilities and noise results is always the same! Not sure any aftermarket help would resolve this issue and from a cosmetic standpoint It could truly take away from the look! We have learned to just live with it!

Usually, there should be a plastic piece ahead the sunroof. Either like a wind deflector (sells off Ebay) , either a trim with bumps that create turbulence (which helps reduce the air noise)
