Volvo XC60 horn is beeping, lights on, washers spreading liquid
Regarding an Volvo XC60 (2012)
Car parked for a while. Battery was flat. New one was fitted and connected.
Immediately upon connection horn is beeping, exterior lights on, washers on headlights spreading liquid.
Not responding to key and engine not starting.
I assume the alarm was activated before battery died out. (Car was unlocked manually by key and hood opened, so it's likely that the alarm is triggered)
What is this?
Is it the alarm activated?
If so, how to deactivate this?
Is it some simple procedure with locking and unlocking doors manually by key and get the alarm reset, or is it something more serious?

Battery was flat. New one was fitted and connected.
After connecting it correct it is not charging and an error message about not charging appears on the display.
What can be damaged?
