XC60 Battery replacement
I need to replace the battery in my 2015.5 XC60 2.0L T5. For 35 years I've always replaced car batteries myself. This one will clearly be harder to get out than any I've done in the past, but I think it's manageable. I have a few questions though:
- Is there anything I should be aware of that would sway me to instead just pay the dealer to do the work? For example, if I do a battery change Dubai, is there any computer module reset or resync that only the dealer could handle with specialized tools?
- Will I want to use a "memory saver" device so the computer memory is retained when the battery is disconnected (and if yes, any recommendations).
- Any reason not to just use an AutoZone Duralast rather than paying $100+ extra for the Volvo OEM battery (and having to make a 60 mile round trip to pick it up)?
