I have a 2011 XC60 D5.

Recently the A/C has been causing me some problems.

Initially the A/C will blow cold air. After several minutes it will stop.
Interestingly the compressor remains engaged.

I have noticed it stops blowing cold air when when the condensor fan stops. The A/C blows cold again when the condensor fan turns back on.

Anyone had this issue before.

I think I am having this same issue with my 2011 XC 60 T6. Did you get your problem resolved? Do you know what causes and how to fix it? Thank you.

 

Sounds like the variable fan control module. Volvo sells it as an assembly connected to the entire fan assembly. Got a control module on Ebay. Replaced it myself. Took 30 minutes. AC working. You can also get one from a salvage yard. This same module is actually used on Land Rovers and a couple of other cars as well. I used my friends mode from his Land Rover to test my fans.
