Hi there - hoping someone can give me some insight in to what I really need done for maintenance. I drive a 2017 XC60 T5, bought it a year old with 15k miles but they had already completed the 20k scheduled maintenance. At 25k actual miles Volvo service center had me do the 30k scheduled maintenance and last year at 40k-ish miles they had me do 50k scheduled maintenance. Now I’m only at 45k miles (work from home and had a baby so did very little driving the past year). I know it likely needs an oil change and maybe some other things, but now the Volvo dealer service center is telling me I should do the 60k scheduled maintenance. This seems silly to me since there are only 45k miles on the car - anybody have insight in to what should actually be done and how to get back on track with this?

 

There are very few things on the maintenance schedule. Oil change every 10k, cabin filter every 20k, brake fluid flush every 40k or x years depending on the climate, engine air filter 40k, spark plugs 60k, timing belt 10years or 150k.

Just do oil changes (and I would do them more often than 10k with the correct oil) until you get 60k on the car. Do the 60k then.
