Default xc60 2014

Hello,

First off I have never owned a volvo so never been on this site before. I have always loved volvos and have wanted one for a long time now.

I am looking at a 2014 xc60 T6 model. It's is brand new.

Other then me trying to justify the cost of this vehicle, since I could buy a brand new SUV from a diff manufacture for $15,000 less fully loaded.

I was wondering if there were any known issues or problems with these models I should be aware of. I also would like to know about maintenance, I understand it takes synthetic oil so oil changes will be costing $100+ but is there anything else that I person should know before making such a big purchase ? Being regarding the model itself or maintenance.

I really want to buy this car in the next few days from the dealership just a little nervous about not making the right move. I would really like this car to last me 15+ years. Without having major problems just normal wear and tear.

Thank you any responses I'm sure will be useful

Drew

If U R comfortable with the price then go for it! We purchased our 2014 XC60 in January! Couldn't wait for the 2015's Rich Java, Platinum, Sport and Climate Packages. BLIS, Metallic Paint, Urbane Wood Inlays! Yada Yada!
We have had Jeep Grande Cherokees, Land Rovers, ML320's, VW Touaregs and this, by far, is the pick of the litter! The ride, look, feel and performance are exceptional. Best purchase made and for the price a steal! We are in the Asheville, NC area and purchased our XC60 from Hunter VOLVO. Great sales and service teams! Gonna take a hard look at the XC90 to replace the Touareg!
What color and options R U looking at? The 2014 Maintenance program covers the first three services at no charge: 10,000, 20,000, and 30,000 miles. You can add even more maintenance coverage with Volvo Optional Factory Scheduled Maintenance Upgrade Programs, which are available for sale. Volvo has an enhanced Factory Scheduled Maintenance Program with offers to cover you up to 100,000 miles. They have got U covered for a price!
Good luck with your purchase

From what I've heard on forums, people are satisfied with it. By the past Volvo had serious issues with the transmissions because Volvo does not have a maintenance schedule for the transmission fluid (for economical reasons). I would replace the transmission fluid each 50000 miles no matter what Volvo says.

Default Thank you so much !

I was having the same issue and the boot refused to close today in the middle of a particularly manic day! Rang my dealership and the soonest they could see me was going to be 5days time and then charge me £85 just to look at the car and diagnose the problem. I've just found your thread and fixed it myself !
I owe you a pint !! Many thanks
