Just acquired an 18' XC60 T6 AWD Inscription and was wondering if there are any performance upgrades for our vehicle. We have a great engine but no exhaust note in comparison to an Infiniti or others. I ordered the K&N intake filter but looking for some options. LMK thanks! the new baby!
I'd stay away from KN for air filters, its not the 90s anymore... KN filters use oil on the paper to trap dirt. Over time some of that oil will find its way onto the MAF and the throttle body and can cause them to act up. Besides the factory airbox is well designed (unlike a 2000 vintage Chevy) so there's no performance gain via the KN. Considering you have a new car, I'd really stay clear of after market parts (particularly non-OEM filters) which may risk your warranty.
Does your XC60 have the Polstar upgrade? Sounds pretty good in the Dynamic setting,
From the web site! "The Polestar Engineered Optimisation powertrain software allows you to enjoy a more precise and balanced driving experience. Together with Polestar's engineers, we have optimised important performance areas such as mid-range engine performance, gearshifts and throttle response. To get the most out of the Polestar Engineered Optimisation software, we strongly recommend you to add our optional drive mode selector." This is a dealer upgrade for $1295.00

Agree completely. There is a reason K&N filters allow more air through, because they also allow more dirt through. Besides the cost and risk of screwing up your MAF sensor with the oil that may shed from a K&N filter, the only performance increase will be in your mind.
I am always amazed that people buy a modern car and then go looking for "performance upgrades" as if the original manufacturer didn't already do the tuning for you with their resources.
"Performance upgrade" is another word for wasting your money while some aftermarket company gets rich while you get nothing but noise or feel-good labels.
