I own a 13' XC60 T6 and I'm considering trading it in for a 17' XC60 T6. In reading the description from the dealership they call this engine an I4 several times. I'm wondering how an engine can be a T6 and an I4 at the same time. Does anyone know if this is just the dealership not having their data correct or if the powertrain setups are in fact different from the 2013 that I own and the 2017 that I'm considering.

 

2017 XC60 only had 4 cylinder engines. T5 is turbocharged and T6 is turbocharged and supercharged. 2013 only had 6 cylinder engines.

 

Thank you for the note. When I look at the pictures the 2017 is badged as a T6 but you are saying they only made 4cyl engines?

 

Yes, there are only 4 cylinders for the 2017 XC60 in the US.

Turbocharged is badged T5.
Turbocharged and supercharged is badged T6.
