04' with "Possessed" door locks ! !
Greetings All.....
Yesterday morning my wifes XC-70 had a dead battery. It turned right over with a quick jumpstart. I drove it for 30 minutes then pulled in my driveway to change the oil.
A little while later when I was under the car, I heard
" Click...Click Click".......Click...ClickClick".....
"What the..?" Got out from underneath and soon detemined that my power door locks were continoulsy trying to unlock themselves. (doors were already unlocked). That explains the dead battery..
I looked through the fuse box for a means of "depowering" the door locks. All I found was fuse 34 and 35 whcih are the Power for the front doors. By removing them, the FRONT doors stopped trying to unlock, but the rear doors and tail gate still did.
I tried several different iterations of locking/ unlocking/ running (after I finished the oil change) driving etc. When I shut off the car, after about 2 minutes, it went into its possesed unlock...unlock...unlock...mode.
I disconnected the battery to stop it all...
Any ideas?

If it is drawing down the battery, check for a draw on the system,
my 01 has a faulty left front module for the door locks, and it was draining the battery
It took three visits to find it.
