I have a 2003 XC70 with 130,xxx miles with a spun rod bearing. I now have a 04 engine from a 60 series with 70,xxx to replace it with. Both are 2.5 turbo and both with vin. eng. code 59.

Can the engine be replaced without pulling it and the trans. as a unit?

Is there a repair manual out there for this car because I have not found one online or in book form.
