So window/lock buttons do not work on drivers or read driver side.

Have drivers door apart and its getting power to the buttons (blue wire) and the module (red wire) but cant seem to get power to the window motor.

Had the module apart and cleaned with alcohol (worked for the power seat buttons) but no change . Any ideas of any more cost free things to check before I buy a new module ?

 

The DDM (drivers door module) and PDM can store self diagnostic codes. Are there any codes present? Here's a wiring diagram - I have seen broken wires - where the wires twist in the rubber conduit between the body and the door.
Replacement of the DDM - on the parts page Volvo thinks SoftWare is required #11. Many new modules will not work until a software download is done using VIDA.

Only codes were for O2 sensor (hole in exhaust)

 

Does your borrowed code reader read codes from all the control units? Or is it just an OBD (emission related ) reader?
Your appropriate/compatible scan tool should be able to read codes from most of the modules shown below, not just the ECM and tcm for emission related stuff. (some of them will not be installed in your car, like the subwoofer or PHM phone module. But you need to be able to read codes from the DDM (driver door module))

 

Turned out to be the wiring in the door harness. Patched it back together and works fine now.
