Default ABS control Unit

I have a 1999 V70XC with 120,000 miles. Suddenly started to have dash warning lites come on for ABS and orange engine warning lites. Noticed I had lost speedo and digital info under it for mileage/trip. Lites then went out and all came back. Had check and was told it was a failing ABS control unit. My questions are: will this condition of intermittent failures harm speed sensors on tranny, can anyone recommend where I can buy part cheaper($730 from Volvo) and is my car actually keeping track of mileage on odometer while it is in failure mode. Was told I could drive car no problem while this happened just no ABS. Just worried may be doing more bad than good. This seems related to several other posts. Thanks for any help.

Send it out for a GUARANTEED repair to either:
www.modulemaster.com or to:
http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/

For under $150 including shipping you will get back a bulletproof ABS module that for the most part will never break again!

(I've used both places and either one is fine.
Module master is a bit cheaper)
