Advice needed on growling noise
Hi, I am a new member and I could use some advice.
I have a 2005 XC70 with 76K miles. Good condition, I take care of it.
I have noticed a growling noise when driving the car. It usually starts at 30mph but gets a little louder at higher speeds. Its not the exhaust. Occurs in neutral as well.
Tires and brake pads are new, rotors original. There are no leaks under car and the sound does not increase or decrease in turns.
I checked the CV joints visibly, no compromise to boots both inner and outer.
No clunking noises in reverse or turns or accelerations.
It is pretty annoying and I could use some advice before bringing it in so I can sound educated.
Thanks!!!
