Default Air Cabin Filter Replacement...Please help.

Hey all!

I have bought a new cabinfilter for my 2001 Volvo XC70, but unlike my previous Mercedes, this filter must go in a different place. Could anyone tell me where and how to replace this??

Kind regards,

Kev75

The cabin filter is behind the passenger side soundproofing panel. Remove that and you should see the unit. Remove four screws to get at the filter.

A 25t bit and small rachet are all thats required. Remove outer kick panel (2 screws; color black plus 2(?) locking tabs) and then the rectangularblack cover with 4 screws; color gold.

There are two filtersfor this model, a thicker gray one and a thinner white on. The thick/gray one is meant for cars withauto recirculation(two lights onrecirc button)and the thin/whiteis meant for cars without (one light). The filters are pretty much interchangable butobviously the thicker filter is better(also more expensive)butthats a matter of individual sensitivity.

Two seperate slots for these filters, if you have the "wrong one" just cutaway smallplastic tab blocking the filter slot. If you pull off the cover and look it iseasier to understand.
