Forgot to disconnect battery before unplugging wire harness under seat....tried to clear code but comes back immediately. Locking device on harness cracked but it's cinched tight with a tie wire ,and everything else works on car but just a warning light.....wondering how to test.02 v70xc 2.4t........

Sorry but a compatible scan tool will give you a clue to use for the answer. Anything else will be a guess. You can find a wiring diagram at volvodiag.com. They don't go back to 2002 but the diagrams will be somewhat similar -
Went back to shop.....0D00 left ( driver) seat buckle signal missing resistance too high....pulled seat, measured continuity ...so far that checked out but one wire I couldn't get a Reading on .guess it could be the buckle itself but either way I have to find the culprit and so far my continuity test hasn't solved it.I am told through readings it won't keep air ags from being deployed? Gotta fix it either way!
There are many compatible scan tools that can talk to the CEM other than VIDA/dice.
A compatible scan tool is able to read and erase codes from all the modules in the car (if installed, you probably don't have a RTI road traffic info module or PHone Module, as well as a couple of others)
