Well, the auto trans shift lever on the wife's 01 XC70 has broken. More specifically the button in the handle that you press to take it out of park, etc.... Is there any way to replace this easily and inexpensively, or am I looking at a large bill

The shift **** might have just broken.
Remove it and inspect it.

Twist the boot on the bottom of the ****.
Then pull the **** really hard to remove it.

 

Tech, do you know of a way to replace just the button on the shift ****?Or do you have to replace the whole ****?I want to upgrade to a wood shift **** but the one I just bought came without a button. I was thinking I could just use the one off my old **** but it looks like it would be a real pain.
