Sorry if this has been asked before. I am going to replace the battery in my wife's 01 XC70. Will I need the radio code beforehand. I can't remember if the XC70 (P2 platform) requires a code for the radio or not. I know our 95 850 does.

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

2001 V70XC - I pulled the negative and the car wouldn't restart until we switched the key a few times in the ignition. Now 3rd gear is gone. If you have a jump pack or jumper from another car to the jumper points in the engine compartment you shouldn't have to worry about it because power is still applied. Right?
