Default Battery disconnect and Radio Code?

If I disconnect the battery to reset all of the learned memory in my R, will I need the radio code afterwards? I cannot find the code in my owners manual as of yet, and I don't want to screw myself.

Thanks guys!

You will need your radio code. You need to get it from the dealer.

Yep, you will need to take the VIN number of the car along with proof of ownership (title or registration) to your dealer and they can look up the code for you. At least that is the way it worked for me

Depends on the dealer, some will do it over the phone. Just in case the radio is a replacement, you should also have to hand the radio serial number as they can do the job from this.

This is a free service. I have heard of some dealers trying to charge.

When you go to the dealer DON"T go the the service department.

Head right in to the parts department w/ either registration or title.

They (most) will run it over to the service department for you. No Charge.

I have done it both ways to see what happens. Most want you to pull intot he service area so they can charge ofr a service call.
