New to Volvo. 2004 xc70 purchased knowing brake message was on. What I didn’t know is when I removed it it’s from another car with yellow junkyard paint on it. Has configuration fault. Sent to module master for fix they said can’t because it is not the original bcm. So what are my options. Can the used bcm be programmed or flashed. Do I have to get a new one. Is this a dealership thing or independent shop. Thanks in advance. I did some searching but confusing

 

Research xemodex.com - they can give you answers. (An abs module usually cannot be transferred to another car - they are coded to a VIN.)

 

ok. going to call xemodex today but looking on their website when i type in my bcm part number 8671224 it looks like that might be for a 2wd. i have an awd xc70. probably why i have the configuration fault. can someone tell me the correct part number for a 2004 AWD xc70 bcm module. thanks.
