I know this has been beaten to death here but.........I just bought a 2001 xc70 and it has no power to the climate control panel. I read several posts here and on other sites. They all point towards the thermister wire in control panel. I took the panel out and sure enough the wire was broke in two. I jumped the wire and reconnected everything and still nothing. I did notice the small fan motor on the back of the panel spinning on its own, not sure if it was before. I then tried the battery reset. I disconnected both terminals from the battery and held them together for about a minuet. I shut everything I could off and put the key to the second position on the ignition switch. Then reconnected both battery leads. When I turned the car on......still nothing. Everything else on the car seems to work, windows, seats, central locking, radio, cd changer, mirrors, everything electronic except that aggravating little panel. Did I miss something or should I try to find another panel for this car.

BTW this is my first Volvo, I have only had it for one day so far but It sure does drive nice.
