clunk in the front passenger tire

I just recently purchased a 1998 70 cx wagon with 170,000 miles and when I hit pot holes it clunks on the front passeger wheel area and when i pulled on the wheel it moved an inch back and forth.

If you haven't already gotten that fixed, I really hope you have, you likely have a bad control arm.
