hey everyone,

I have a 2003 XC70. The closest volvo dealer to me is over an hour away, so I get simple work done locally. I had it at a gm dealer and they ran a diagnostic test because my check engine light was on and also a trans service message was on. They came up with 2 codes- P0740 and P0700. I called volvo to see what they were, but they said those codes are different from the codes on their machine. Does anyone know what these codes mean?

P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

 

Get the codes cleared and see if they come back. Sometimes a hiccup will cause a one time MIL.
