Default Fuel filler door

Quick question....

The fuel fillerr door on the wife's 01 XC 70 does not lock closed anymore. It used to lock within 10 minutes of locking all the doors, now it doesen't. Looks like the little lock plunger is sticking. Can anyone tell me

1. How to gain access to the plunger from inside the cargo area.

2. A good way to fit it or where to get a replacement.

Thanks,

Glenn

When the car is parked at home open the door and lock the car and see if the plunger locks.
Sometimes the hinge will break and the door will be out of place and not lock.

First check the relay which is located in the fuse panel at the L/R of the cargo panel. Hinge also might be broken, is there anything broken of the hinge near the fuel filler door? Do you have the feature where you unlock the filler door with a button on the headlamp switch panel?

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. THe door hinge is not broken. I did check and re-seat the relays and for the last three times I have tried it, it is locking as advertised. Hopefully it was just a relay issue and re-seating them corrected the problem.

Thanks,

Glenn
