Hey guys new here. Im trying to figure out what the easiest way to get to the top side of the fuel tank is. There is a leak comng from the top side and I need to fix it. Remember on my 240DL there was a nice little hatch that you could get at the fuel pump. But I cant seem to locate anything like that for this car. Help

 

You will need to drop the fuel tank to fix this.

 

If the leak is at the lip of the Fuel Pump locking gasket which where it normally occur, then you do not need to drop the fuel tank. It has an access underneath the rear right passenger seat. You just need to remove the seat.

 

What year is the car?
If it is before 2001 there is no access panel to get to the fuel pump. If it is a 2001 or newer it is under the seats. Some states also have an extended warranty on the fuel pumps because the nipple cracks and leaks gas.
