Default I Can’t Fix P0017 Code | Need Advice

2007 XC70 249k miles and runs great. I bought the car from my brother for a great deal I love the car. Immediately after buying I had the timing belt, idler, water pump, and drive belt replaced. Shortly after this the light came with just a P0017 code. Whenever I search online, they always have multiple codes. I only get the one so I’m thinking it could be a bad sensor? I replaced both the intake and exhaust VVT solenoids and battery (needed it anyways) and the code keeps coming back. Honestly the car runs and still shifts great! I know the mechanic has lots of experience working on Volvo’s and he locked the cam and crank when the t-belt was replaced. I wanted to ask the community their thoughts before I re-do the cam timing?

Several times (but not often) My techs would have to redo a timing belt installation after getting something misaligned by a few degrees causing cam timing codes. There is a section with compatible scan tools and VIDA where operation of the VVT can be tested to verify it is working properly (to the correct changing angle)

I tried looking for thread for the scan tools but couldn’t find it. I’m going to take off the front covers tomorrow and see if anything looks off.

To me it appears that hubs were not installed by one of the previous owners. You can see that the crank is aligned with the marks on the block and the cam markings look like they’re 180 degrees off. Thoughts?
