Just bought '99 XC70
Hey all -
This morning I went with my sister as she purchased a '99 XC70 from a private seller. I spoke to the man on the phone (my sister isn't car saavy at all). It has 172K miles on it, looked good in the pix cosmetically. He said the "radiator had a priblem and would fog up the windshelid when the heat was on" and it needed to enter the stereo code (which they had). It's sad that I am a woman and told the man it was his heater core not the raditor but whateves. To the point...
We went to drive it this morning. It seemed very sound like my own '98 V70 XC. Definitely needs an oil change and alignment. Like mine the check engine light is on. Tracs light was on but doesn't have the button option like mine to turn it on or off. SRS and ABS lights are on. I asked my sister to wait so she could take it to our Volvo mechanic but she just couldn't, she bought it on the spot.
Tomorrow we are going to Auto Zone to get the engine code read (mine is a vacuum hose some where) and will be replacing the heater core. But how worried should I be about the SRS and ABS lights?
Thanks!
Heather
Oh yeah! Not all the locks lock when you press the button in the car (no FOB provided). Would that be an easy fix?
