Misfire Cylinder 4
~$50 (replace 1 spark plug) to ~$9000 (replace engine, hole in piston)
Consider having the current owner solve the problem - or pay him for the car AFTER you fix everything wrong with it and deduct those costs from a reasonable sales price. (much easier to find a different car or have the current owner solve the miss fire)

I just wouldn't buy a european car needing immediate repair. I just wouldn't do it.
That said. If it runs okay most of the time, that is to say that cylinder 4 is not misfiring most of the time, then I would guess it's going to be a cheaper item that's easy to get to. if it's a dead miss, all the time, then it may still be something easy like a bad coil, but it could also be zero compression on #4.
