On the advice of some forum member's I purchased an OBD II Scanner tool from "DIY Diagnostics" It reads the code and also give a brief explanation! Great for $45. I had a check engine light come on on my 2000 V70 XC, The light went out itself, when the tool arrived in the mail, LOL!!I checked the stored codes and two came up. Can anyone explain what they are in layman's terms and how to fix the problem associated with the code?
The first Code PO460 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit
The second Code PO422 Main Catalytic efficiency below threshold Bank1. Now this code came up before and I had the mechanic clear it so I could pass inspection at the inspection station and the car passed. As to replace the Catalytic converter is between $1000-$2000.
