Default ODB Engine Codes & Thermostats

I have a 2002 S60, non Turbo. The check engine lght came on so I plugged in my little Actron reader and it popped up the code "P1028", anyone know what this is ? The definition for it was just a generic definition in their book.

The other question is that for the past couple of weeks my temp guage does not get to the middle when driving on the highway, only in stop and go sity traffic. From prior cars I believe this means that the thermostat is not opening properly , does that sound resonable ?

So, how easy its it to replace a thermostat on these ? ANd could this be related to the engine code, although the code just popped up today ?

Thanks,

Mark.

I cannot find find that code anywhere but I would think it would be related.
Yes sounds like a bad thermostat.
