Only getting 30 - 40,000 miles on any tires?
I bought michelin hydroedge (90k mile warranty) tires for my xc70 and 35k miles later I need tires again. The volvo dealership ship says regardless of what tires I buy the xc70 and xc90 will only get about 30,000 miles on them because of the way the vehicle handles. Is anyone else experiencing this situation?
What about the Warranty??? Have you called Michellin or gone to a tire store since the warranty is thru Michellin and not Volvo!
Even though the manual recomends NOT rotating the tires, I rotate the tires every 4,000 miles. I have not gone to Michelin or the store were I bought the tires because a friend of mine had a similar experience with his tires and just got excuses from the store that the tires were not rotated as frequently as they should of been. I have no proof that I had them rotated as often as I say. I may try it anyway. It can't hurt. But Volvo is telling me regardless of what tires I put on the vehicle I will only get 30 - 35,000 miles on them.

You haven't said the tires were worn evenly. I could also suggest that the tires may not have been rotated, if you are leaving it to the shop to do, say during your 4000 mile oil changes.
Just trying to rule some things out that can't be seen over the internet.
